Out through La Grajera park and its bird-filled reservoir into the sea of Rioja vineyards. Navarrete, with its Baroque church and pottery, and Ventosa precede the Alto de San Antón and Nájera, old capital of the kingdom of Nájera-Pamplona: the monastery of Santa María la Real, with the royal pantheon carved into the red rock.
