History and what to see
The Primitivo’s last stage on its own, with gentle climbs and stone hamlets. In Melide it joins the French Way: suddenly you will see many more pilgrims and more bustle. Melide is famous for its octopus houses: celebrate with a plate of pulpo á feira.

Melide’s melindres
Melide is also a town of pastry: melindres, small glazed aniseed rings, are its signature sweet. They even have their own festival, devoted to the melindre and the traditional baking of the Melide area.
