Where our data comes from, how often we check it and how we fix mistakes.
Where the data comes from
Stages follow the official waymarked route: in Galicia, the Xunta’s official line; elsewhere, the Camino routes in OpenStreetMap. Distances are the official ones. Accommodation and services come from official tourism registers, OpenStreetMap and our own checks, with a source and date on every fact.
How often we update
We review accommodation, prices and services every month. Last review: October 2026.
Sources we cite
For Camino figures and rules: the Pilgrim’s Office, Santiago Cathedral and the Xunta de Galicia.
Paid listings
Featured accommodation pays to appear first and is always labelled. Paying never changes distances, prices or reviews.
Corrections
Spotted a mistake? Email hello@xacobea.com and we fix it within 48 hours.
