History and what to see
After Avilés the path returns to the countryside and heads for the mouth of the Nalón, the largest river on Spain’s Cantabrian side. You cross it and climb to Muros de Nalón. Below lies San Esteban de Pravia, an old coal port whose loading piers and cranes have been restored as a walk by the estuary.
