History and what to see
Most pilgrims choose the coastal variant, the Camín Real de las Ballotas, which strings together small valleys and looks over the cliffs. The day ends in Cadavedo, above the sea. On its headland stands the chapel of La Regalina, where a festival linked to the vaqueiros de alzada, the old transhumant herders, is held on the last Sunday of August.
