History and what to see
A short stage by the sea, with the long Langosteira beach leading you into Fisterra. Then comes the last stretch to the cape, where the km 0,000 waymarker waits just before the lighthouse. In Roman times this was thought to be the end of the known world. Stay to watch the sun set over the Atlantic.
Legends & tradition
Burning boots at the cape
Burning clothes or boots at the cape is a recent custom, not a medieval rite. Today walkers are asked not to light fires on the rocks: better to leave usable clothes at a hostel and stay for the sunset over the sea.
